I bought this item because it was the best-looking option in the price range. It does look great. However, it's a terrible filing cabinet. The drawers do NOT open smoothly and make a loud noise every time I close them. Also, file folders don't fit - the rails don't match the hooks on hanging folders and the drawers aren't deep enough to accomodate tabs. File dividers aren't adequate so my files are always sliding down. I wouldn't purchase again or recommend it....it's NOT worth the price!

    Takes too long to assemble. Drilled holes don't align with other parts. Drawers stick and are hard to open. Am afraid that unit will fall apart becase some of the pieces don't interlock. Will never order anything that requires this kind of assembly again.

    This file cabinet looks like a custom piece. It is so nice i am using it in my dining room - looks like a buffet- i use the top drawer for files and the bottom for table clothes and placemats etc. Very good looking piece, durable. Alot of work to put together though- you do need a man in the house if you order this. Drawers are a little tight-hard to open- maybe just because they are new and need to be used. Little upset it arrived with a scratch on the front. All in all very pleased!
