This lateral file is a solid piece of furniture, fairly easy to assemble and looks good. The only reason I didn't rate it higher was that there was some minor damage in shipping. (Mostly in non visible areas.)

At first the flat pack from China, pictorial assembly instructions without much language and heavy weight, gave a daunting look and feel to this product. But, taking my time to assemble and moving the unit, first without the draws, made it easy to put into use without assistance. Oh, I did call for help to find out how the sliding brackets unlocked, afterwich I said Dahhh!
