I use this as a night stand,storage,and file cabinet.The three small drawers is a good idea but could be a little deeper, but the honey finish is beautiful.What I don't like about it is that the panels for all of the drawers seem to have been hastily cut, once it is assembled there is many gaps and uneven alignments, it doesn't look professionally cut. Also the file drawer should be a complete drawer there should not be any cut outs in the back and side panels,and the file drawer itself should have a bottom panel as well.
I chose not to use the file drawer as a hanging file I chose to use my own pocket folder and other types of folders but because there is no bottom my folders would fall through when I open file drawer, also when I did try using it as a hanging file because there is no bottom my files would drag the bottom of the cabinet and come off of the hanging rods and fall through and everything would spill out of the folders on the floor, a very poor design.
I had to have a bottom made and the side and back openings closed in just in case at some point I would like to use it for storage other than folders,this did not cause any problems in the movement or opening of the file drawer.But had I known that there was no bottom, back, and sides I would not have purchase this file cabinet you do not see this in the picture,all hanging file cabinet I have seen has a bottom panel. The price of this cabinet was still reasonable but the cabinet just need a some improvement made and yes it is very sturdy.I would recommend it to a friend and have them to do the same thing that I did if they wanted to and if they really like it.

The wood is excellent. The allen wrench is hard to grip properly at some angles (at least for a middle-aged woman). Instructions are clear and all parts were present. Two parts had to be replaced since the groove in each was not level - off from 1/32 - 1/16". One piece began to split during assembly, but it is not a load-bearing piece.
