    I was very disappointed in the cam design. I have assembled furniture before with this kind of cam mechanism without any problems, but it didn't work well at all this time. Perhaps the holes weren't drilled in quite the right place. The cams are supposed to be turned until you hear and feel them lock into place. I had only one of them lock in place. One of them split the wood as I tried to get it to lock. Overall, the cabinet looks nice and apprears to work well ( I haven't filled it yet), but be careful cranking down on the cams. It would have been better to assemble it using glue and clamps.

    I'm using the file cabinet to store genealogy work. I like the space it affords inside the cabinet but despite the protective packaging it had a ding (small piece missing) in the corner of the top with a scratch. I unpacked it on carpeting so I know I didn't ding it on anything but I had put most of it together before I discovered it. Too much to pack back up and exchange.
